Forry Ackerman, The IT Crowd, New Star Trek

Forrest J. Ackerman has died. He was founding editor of the magazine “Famous Monsters of Filmland” and was renowned for his gargantuan collection of science fiction memorabilia. He also coined the abbreviation “sci-fi”. He was 92.

My friend Karyus says that hardcore fans hate the trailer, casual fans love it, and people who never cared about Star Trek before … still don’t care.
